People With What I Have Need Medicare and Medicaid

The primary reason why people like me, who have what I have, need Medicare and Medicaid, is because we can't have conventional jobs most of the time. I mentioned I have bipolar one disorder. I also have hypermobile Ehler's Danlos Syndrome, which is comorbid my ADHD.

Hypermobile Ehler's Danlos Syndrome is a connective tissue disorder that affects the joints and muscles of the individual who has it. Often times, this leads to back problems, knee pain, hip joint pain and difficulty with hand-eye coordination. This usually entails that people who have this need more consistent breaks and a half hour to an hour to recover from certain tasks. This also means we need physical aides in order to sit down during other tasks.

In my previous job, I asked to be accommodated. They did for a while, but eventually they said if I wanted to keep my job, I had to stand for two hours or slightly longer without a break. I decided the physical load was too much and wrote my two weeks notice. Since they told me I couldn't call out for the two weeks, I then quit due to pain.

This is the reason why most people with this condition can't have conventional jobs. We usually need accommodations that large companies will find any loophole not to give them to us. Hence why we need Medicare and Medicaid. There are so many reasons why universal healthcare is a must.

 Consider this one of them.
